Hello, my name is Madison and I’m a first time mommy this year. My son is 5 months old and the happiest little boy I have ever seen. I’m just trying to make it being a stay at home mom and help other moms in a positive way.

- Why do you have to hate yourself to be a mom?Maybe it is because I’m young but today while reading through my mom groups on Facebook, I saw one about shaving/showering and how often every mom did it. Obviously every mom is different and has different amounts of children and time but this was a stay at home moms group and every comment (200 of… Read more: Why do you have to hate yourself to be a mom?
- Coffee Obsessed vs. BreastfeedingWhen I first became pregnant, everyone would tell me how I am not allowed to have coffee. My doctor said I could. I swear people hear one thing and spread it all around when it’s not even true. So many things I’ve been told have been myths and not even close real. You are allowed… Read more: Coffee Obsessed vs. Breastfeeding

- Why are mom groups so aggressive? When I arrived home with Zukko I immediately wanted to join some mom groups to just learn more each day. Don’t get me wrong, I definitely learn a lot but why are they so aggressive? Every mom is different. - Good Eats for puréesWhen I was researching what I was going to do food-wise with my baby, I decided I wanted to make my own purées when he turned 4 months. Bath Time Special

When we first brought home our son, Zukko, we were nervous about bath time. Obviously we had to wait for his umbilical cord to fall off and for his little boy surgery to heal, but after that, we were up to bat. “He’s just so small I don’t want to hurt him”, was my fiancés famous line. I would just laugh and show him just how tough these little angels can be. In fear of freezing him out we used the swaddle that he came home in to keep him warm in the water and continued to do so until he was about 3 months. It is so crazy watching him grow and change with each bath. He went from just sitting there staring at us to trying to jump out and grab his little duck cup! Take pictures in the same tub every so often so you too can sit around admiring the growth and the work you’re putting in to create this human and mold him to be your son. The bath time photos are definitely a great indicator on how big your little one is getting.
